The Grand Bahama Flag Football League was formed in 2010 to promote the game of flag football on the island of
                                 Grand Bahama, within the Islands of The Bahamas. Presently we are an adult flag football league for men

                                 and women.  The mens division consisits of 9 on 9 semi-contact play with linemen ineligible and the womens

                                 division consists of 7 on 7 non contact play. When the GBFFL was initially formed there were only eight  male teams and the rosters held a maximun of sixteen players, back then the guys played 7 on 7. The original eight teams consited of ; Frecon Alliance, Zorbas Destroyers, Bahama Rock Excavators, The Rugby Club, Freeport Container Port Stackers, The Runners, GB SHipyard Wreckers and  . In 2013 womens flag football was introduced and there was initally only enough ladies for one team; the Piranhas. For the first year of womens flag football in an effort to promote womens flag football, the Piranhas team was split in two and held exhibition games. As of the 2014-2015 season, the GBFFL had 11 mens teams and 7 womens teams with rosters holding a maximum of 24 players.
